Douglas Murray has been a fearless and fair reporter on the Gaza war. He has been in Israel or Gaza for most of the last year since the October 7th massacre. I admire his guts and grit and clear moral compass. Like me, he’s atheist, non-Jew, but strongly pro Zionist and philo-Semitic. I am all of those to a high degree of obsession. “But… but don’t you care for the plight of the poor Palestinians?”. No, I do not. They’ve had numerous chances to have their own independent state. The Obama-Harris-Biden administration was strongly against the IDF entering Rafah. If they’d listened to that advice, Hamas would be still alive and viable, still led by Sinwar. Neither of those is true now. Of 24 Hamas garrisons 23 have been destroyed by the IDF. With minimal civilian casualties. The last garrison is being worn down and killed. Israel is winning. That drives many on the Left, the Hamas-nicks, utterly crazy. The Jews winning!
Booh-shucks to Obama. The one responsible for all this. For unrestraining the Islamic Republic of Iran and its “ring of fire”. For enabling the “3-H” — Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi. All that on the say-so of Barack. Obama is now in the end days of his Third Term, but hoping for a Fourth Term.
