Biden, Trump, Charlottesville and the “Fine people” hoax

Dear CNN:

Just now ("CNN This Morning") your anchor talks of Biden's upcoming Valley Forge speech and how he will mention Charlottesville. And thus alleged racism of Donald Trump, by insinuation. And, by implication: of the "fine people" hoax.

Biden lied in the 2020 debate when he said Trump called Nazis "very fine people".

What Trump was referring to — when he said there were "very fine people" on both sides — was people arguing whether statues should be pulled down, or not. There were "fine people" on both sides of that argument. Which was true and remains true.

Trump specifically said he was not referring to neo-Nazis. But you and the MSM cut that bit out. You all lied, by omission. A crucial omission.

Your own Jake Tapper:

As CNN's Jake Tapper has said, President Trump did not call neo-Nazis or white supremacists "very fine people."

  • Jake Tapper: "Elsewhere in those remarks the President did condemn neo-Nazis and white supremacists. So he's not saying that the neo-Nazis and white supremacists are very fine people"
  • President Trump, August 15, 2017: "I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally.” [LINK]
Now you are going against your own Jake? And continuing to lie about Trump? Because you're scared of him?

Why do you continue to support (by insinuation) the false notion that Trump called neo-Nazis "very fine people". Why do you continue to support Biden's vile lie?

Honestly!

Shame on Biden for his LIE. And shame on CNN for repeating the lie. Again, and again, and again…. When we all know it's not true.

Do try to live up to your mission of being a "trusted news source".

Pf, etc....
