The biggest Secret Service failure — the one everyone can see — is why wasn’t the roof of the shooter’s building secured? It’s barely 120 m from the stage with a perfect view of it.
It would have taken just a couple of local police officers at the door to stop anyone going in or out for the duration.
Lots of other questions being asked. Even as Donald Trump praised the Secret Service:
"I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.
I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Let’s see how this plays out. In the legacy media we can see the trend already: downplaying the seriousness; blaming Trump and his supporters for it; “struggling to understand the motive”; quick memory-holing — “what assassination attempt?”
Some are saying this will secure Joe Biden’s candidacy. After he’d laid an egg at the recent debate.
Shocking not surprising. The spot-on Ben Shapiro take.
