Drinks the other night found the Romantic in discussion with the Realist. The Youth and the Elder. The former feels that all people want the same thing: security and well-being for their families; so we should all be able to live together in peace, abrogate war, the lion supine with the lamb. The Realist grants that we are all born equal, but not all acculturated equally: some are acculturated to hate us, and want to kill us, just because we don't believe what they do. And they want to kill the Romantic as well. As I'm the one writing the blog, I could have the last word here. But let me give that to the inimitable Patrick Condell in his video, "Apologists for Evil".

Romantics and Realists
