๐Ÿ‘ for the Rugby Sevens

Mass civil disobedience: not a mask in sight at the  Sevens
One thumb up: better than I expected, because the crowds ignore the mask mandates. There were marshalls wandering around with  a sign: “please mask to protect ourselves and protect yourself”, which is kind of strange wording. But it seems the crowd has ignored them. Which is different from what it’s been on the streets for three years now: masks mandated both indoors and outdoors and everyone keeping them on.

Interesting that no one in the media is commenting on the fact that noone is masking at the Sevens.

Only one thumb up, though, not two, because the government kept the crowd to half the capacity -- “social distancing” -- and there were all sorts of mandates to get in: vaccine pass, RAT test on the day, and some people who had flown in not allowed because they didn’t have our local tracking app installed.

Still, better than I expected. The last of the Sevens at the iconic Happy Valley field. Next year will be over at the new stadium in the old Kai Tak Airport site. Getting there is going to be a bit of an issue.
