Jupiter was so bright in the sky last night here in Hong Kong

We were having our dinner* out on our back patio. Looked up and saw such a bright “star”.

It was so bright we thought it was Venus at first, but then it couldn’t be, as it was high overhead with the sun already set, and as we know Venus is the Sun companion. It was Jupiter. Our largest planet.

I’ve thought of buying a home telescope, but Hong Kong skies are usually too bright or cloudy. Googled what it might look like on a home telescope and got the above on Quora. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to see that from your backyard!
