The politicisation here is the accusation that others are politicising. Looking for the source of Covid is a matter of science. Which requires openness and cooperation. Which China has not offered since the beginning. 

Not to say the US has been any better. There’s some evidence the US Department of Defence was funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology to do gain-of-function research, in addition to the NIH funding via Eco-Health Alliance. So there’s that, all hidden till recent FOI enquiries.

The highlight bits above are false. China did cover up all sorts of data going as far back as October 2019, which we know from both foreign experts there at the time and even from Chinese doctors in Wuhan. In short, Shen Hongbing head of China’s Centre for Disease Control, lies. 

Again, not to say the US equivalents don’t lie. Anthony Fauci, head of National Institutes of Infectious Diseases being the main one, awa his ex boss Francis Collins, head of National Institute of Health and current CDC head Rochele Walenski. The sad truth is that everyone has lied during this pandemic. Even sadder: none will be punished.
