Global greening is real

I wrote about this some years ago. NASA photos of the earth showed that in the last twenty years or so, the green coverage of the earth had increased (iirc) around 15%. ADDED: after double-checking, that’s correct. Double the area of the United States each year is added greening according to NASA satellite data. That’s about 14.5% of the global landmass. 

The figures in the video above are that it's been 20% increase. Via various studies, including satellite images over the decades. 

And then, I've posted about the man-made greening of countries like China, and in the Green Great Wall south of the Sahara desert. 

This is Good News, that certain people don't like, because it threatens the narrative of Climate Change is an Existential Threat. 

Interesting figured too on increases in yields of main grains like rice, wheat and corn.

Climate activists have long tried to suppress talk of global greening. As a result of CO2 emissions. They mocked the “carbon dioxide as fertiliser” meme. Their reason for suppression being that the idea of “CO2 =>> greening” dilutes the narrative of “Carbon Dioxide All Bad, All The Time. For the activists there must ne no upside, nothing positive about increased emissions. 

But the fact remains. And is now clearer than ever. The world has got measurably greener in recent decades. This is proven by satellite records, as reported by NASA, and by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, neither a bastion of “climate denial”.  

So, if you believe the science, and the data, the world is getting greener. We ought to Yay! about that. I reckon.
