On letter writing to the Post

I’ve often seen Mark Peaker’s letters to the South China Morning Post, and now he’s put them in a book, proceeds to charity. Good on him.

His view in free speech now, in Hong Kong:

…implementation of the Hong Kong national security law has not interfered or affected how he expressed his opinions in his letters.

“I believe that we can be critical of the government providing that we are critical in a manner that is not puerile,” he says. He adds that as a private citizen, it is within his rights to voice concern over how the city is being run.

I tagged LGBTQ, as he talks this issue in the article. Hong Kong is definitely behind the times on it.
