Above, from two years ago. We knew this, but many don’t. It’s horrid, but has a background and reasons — namely gradually ramped up security as wave after wave of intifadas, bombings and terror attacks took their toll. IOW it didn’t have to be this way. It’s the reaction, stupid!

As for cutting off food, water and electricity to Gaza, I don’t really see the point of that and it’s surely cruel. Israel will have to ease up unless having mass famine is part of the plan. Israel has to react strongly, or it can’t survive domestically. But cutting food and water? No.
