We were discussing population decline.
Example:South Korea’s population is around 51 million. Its current birth rate is 0.8 per fertile woman.
That means in 2 generations, 40 years, in the lifetime of our kids, its population will decline to under 12 million. In 3 generations, 60 years, it will fall to just 4 million.
IOW: In 60 years, South Korea will have less than one person for every ten people it has today.
Most of that population will be old.
The same sorts of declines are already happening in all the developed world, all of Europe, most of Asia and even much of the developing world.
Food for thought.
