Many medical staff are on strike, demanding full border closure with China. They are copping plenty of blowback.

Today, eight months of street protests have divided our society and turned toxic relations with the government. That surely plays into their strike decision, as Yonden Lhatoo nails.
As individuals, the best thing we can do is do is limit our human contacts and wash our hands.
As government, closing our border with China would be what I’ve been calling “strategic over-reaction”, that is, “hardly the worst option”.
