The conclusion is what I’ve said for some time: use “both/and”, not “either/or”. That is: use all available technologies to fight climate change. Nuclear is one. Renewables are another, and in time likely the majority. There’s no need to deny nuclear. Pro-nuclear people aren’t against renewables. But renewables people are often against nuclear. Weird.
If cost is an issue for nuclear, as the anti-nuclear people often say, well “that’s not your problem”. That’s a problem of financing and if left to the market, if it’s something people will finance, let them. No amount of data show that financing nuclear takes financing away from renewables.
