It’s depressing. It really is. It’s not made better by the fact that questions asked, not just in the ‘hood, as above, but on Ivy League campuses don’t do any better. The ignorance of the so privileged. Allegedly “well educated”. Simple questions like “what are the three branches of government” don’t get a right answer more than one in ten. Ask them to name some
countries in South America and they’re as likely to say “Africa”.
I don’t know, but I bet Chinese students would do better.
