First up it seems amazing — batteries lasting forever in phones and drones.
Then, along a bit, we read that using it in phones and drones is "challenging".
Then, along a bit more, we read that an American company has been doing something similar since 2010.
Still, what the world is waiting for is a huge leap in battery efficiency, not the incremental gains we've been making.
Perhaps this is the first sign of it.
Would be great for EVs, like Tesla!
