Australia needs to understand: China doesn’t buy Aussie iron ore, our coal, our lobsters to do us a favour. They buy because they need them. Steel makers suffered without Oz iron ore and coking coal and lobbied Beijing to ease their bans. Let’s not think they’re being nice to us. It’s all for their interest.
