"What does 'capitulate' mean?" |
Carolyn Glick lays the blame for the six executed hostages in Gaza where it belongs: on HAMAS.
Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar is astute enough to understand that capitulationists in Israel — Yoav Gallant and the likes of Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid, Yair Golan — are helping him. The more hostages he murders the better for Sinwar and Hamas.
These are “Sinwar’s Israeli accomplices”
Instead of laying blame for Hamas's execution of six Israeli hostages where it belongs, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has decided to point fingers at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
But why would Gallant blame Netanyahu—and more importantly, why does the premier continue to keep his defense minister on board?
On today’s episode of "In-Focus," JNS senior contributing editor Caroline Glick discusses the motivations behind Gallant’s actions and how they connect to the larger effort to topple Netanyahu.
She also reveals the details of Hamas’s terms for Israel’s capitulation; the inner workings of the Jewish state's establishment; and developments in the continued war against Palestinian terror.
Basically Gallant gave Hamas the green light to execute the hostages. Because what Sinwar hears is that if they kill hostages the Left will give them even more. Will pressure the government of Israel to capitulate. And then more October 7ths. Over and over. As Hamas have promised.
I suspect the motives of these capitulationists. They are self-illusions, delusions, that a peace can be gained by giving in. And giving something to America whose Democrats desperately want an end to fighting for their own election purposes.
I guess Caroline Glick is called a “Far Right” radical in some quarters. I’d call her a hardliner vis-à-vis Hamas and the broader Jihad. A hawk. A realist. I’m very much on her side vs the softies who dream febrile futile dreams of living in peace with genocidal theocratic psychopaths.
When we visited Israel in 2017, I was surprised to meet Gallant fellow travellers. People living right there in Tel Aviv, knowing (I presume) the history of intifada and murderous Jihadism surrounding them on every corner, knowing all that, knowing what Hamas had already done with Gaza after their fellow capitulationists had handed over Gaza to the PA in 2005, knowing all that, who nonethess tried to tell me that they, Israel, should do the same with Judea and Samaria, aka the “West Bank”. I, a mere visitor, argued that that would be suicide. But no, these well-meaning residents knew better.
Give peace a chance.
People living within a country are not always its best analysts. But let’s also remember: 75% of the Israelis support Netanyahu and the aim of destroying Hamas. Again it’s the masses understanding better than the elites and left wing media what needs to be done. Which is to destroy Hamas.
Only then does peace have a chance.
