Authors write as if nothing is being done. But huge sums are being spent on renewables and have already led to reduced carbon emissions especially in the developed world.
Of course 95% of people will say "more should be done" when polled. There's always "more" can be done. But ask them how much they're willing to pay for "more" and you get very different answers.
I'm heartily sick of the non-stop doom and gloom stories, when there is plenty of solid, credible, good news out there. Also predictions of "calamity " need rather more evidence and argument.
