A clear day at the pool

Siena One Club, Discovery Bay, Hong Kong
Zoom in and see Central Hong Kong so clearly. A few days ago, with social distancing rules. You have to take a ticket if there’s too many people, according to our Covid rules. Usually not a long wait.

It’s a fine pool to do laps or just natter and chatter with mates. Who mostly complain. Except the most recent couple I’ve asked “how’s business” have said “it’s booming". One in retail, one in logistics, one in pleasure-boat trading. The boats... because people can’t go anywhere, are looking for something to get out of the flat.

Same with some restaurants. Some, by no means all, doing pretty good. I saw the other day around 2,800 restaurants have shut down cause Covid. But thousands new ones have opened, especially in less fashionable places.
