Megyn Kelly talks to Glen Greenwald re SCOTUS and hate on Justice Thomas (because he supported the Alito opinion on Roe v Wade) and Justice Sotomayor’s support of Thomas. (Glen on Thomas and Sotomayor). Then Suzy Weiss. For note: Sotomayor is the other side of Thomas. She’s super liberal, he super conservative; but they respect each other, lunch regularly.
The Triggernomerty lads talk with Andrew Sullivan, a leftie gone “Never-Trump” conservative and to Rob Henderson, who talks of “Luxury Beliefs”.
Lex Fridman talks to Douglas Murray.
Yesterday CNN replays Jan 6 evidence by Cassidy Hutchison, which cuts it so it looks like she was witness to the alleged event (Trump lunging for the steering wheel of his car), when she wasn’t there and only heard about it. CNN report plays nothing of the news that the Secret Service staff actually in the car on the day, said “it didn’t happen” and that they were willing to testify under oath to that fact. We learnt this in Newsweek, The Guardian, Washington Times, ABC, plus many other MSM.
Even CNN itself had reported the Secret Service denials, days ago, but did not include them in the report yesterday. Which just makes it yet another of the many “stories that aren’t true, but which we’re gonna continue to believe anyway”.
1 July, BBC. Stephen Sackur talks to”HK democracy activist" Nathan Law, now exiled in the UK. Law say he thinks “Chinese government may collapse and we hope for that”. That’s not likely and even if you think it is, does nothing to help HK, by infuriating the tyrant overlords. They’re tyrants. That's the thing to remember. Keep our Freedoms is my mantra. Which are absolutely not trivial.
ADDED. Chinese in China, for all that we might think it’s crazy, are happy enough and satisfied enough and ok enough, with the regime. They like it. They like that it’s tough and effective. They like it. Not all, sure, but most. At least my conclusion talking to Chinese in China over the years. They’re happy enough.
