Obama gave his speech on how to confront ISIS.
He said what they do "has nothing to do with Islam". For "no religion allows the killings of innocents". And most of those killed by ISIS are Muslims.
But ISIS is not killing "innocents". At least not according to the Koran.
If those killed are Shia, they are "hypocrites" and if non-Muslim they are "infidels".
In both cases, the Koran mandates death.
Now, I understand why Obama has to avoid saying this is a battle with core Islam.
But he doesn't have to say its direct opposite.
Nothing will be gained until this truth is faced head on.
