AOC in the crosshairs…

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demurred when ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked her if she was prepared to run for president in 2028. “I’m focused on winning the midterms,” she replied. But she was quick to admit that she hadn’t “ruled out the possibility.” Neither have Democratic primary voters.

In the extremely preliminary polling of the 2028 Democratic primary electorate, the self-described socialist from New York typically trails better-known candidates like Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, and even Pete Buttigieg. On the eve of the “invisible primary,” however, in which presidential candidates corner donors and influencers in advance of a campaign, the oddsmaker Kalshi has put Ocasio-Cortez in the pole position in the race for the party’s presidential nod.

Compilation of Democrats defending Graham Platner

Short answer to The New Yorker. No, he can’t. He’s a Nepo Nazi. Funded by mummy to
Maine’s most expensive private schools. A Vet-hating Vet. Then a wastrel and a
fraudulent “Oyster Farmer”. And now… a failed Senatorial candidate
This is all about one Graham Platner. Until ten minutes ago unknown. Until five minutes ago the Democratic candidate for Senator to the United States Congress in the State of Maine.

He’s got a Nazi tattoo. Smack bang right there on his chest. Not just any old Nazi tattoo, but the Totenkopf. The “Death’s Head” tattoo of the S.S., Hitler’s most enthusiastic Jew-extinguishers. Then pretended (ie, lied) that he didn’t know what it was…

Dems: He’s a Nazi? No worries. He’s a lying Nazi? Even better!

Platner is a bogus “oyster farmer”. In reality shucks a few oysters for his Mum’s restaurant.

Dems: He’s a fraud? No worries. “We’re not hiring a priest”. “Give him grace”. I mean, who cares!

Platner is a member of the Marxist-Leninist DSA.

Dems: He’s a Communist? No worries. We love communism!

Platner: “All Cops are Bastards”.

Dems: No worries. We hate cops too!

Platner: “Rural Americans are racist and stupid”.

Dems: Right on, brother! As saint Hillary said, they’re all Deplorables!

Platner: Says Purple Heart veteran Terry Daniels “doesn’t deserve to live”.

Dems: No worries, bro. We hate vets too!

Platner: Calls for theft of private property.

Dems: He wants to impoverish America? No worries. He wants to steal stuff from Republicans? Fine, as long as it’s for us, no problem.

Platner: Calls for Open Borders.

Dems: You want to illegally import Democrat voters and steal working-class job? Great!

Platner. Accused of sexual misconduct.

Dems: No! That’s beyond the pale. Resign buddy!

So he has. He’s now resigned. He steps down from the race in the crucial state of Maine. Crucial to the Dems obsession with taking back the Senate this coming mid-term.

The link here is to a compilation of Dems in complete lock-step about just a wonderful candidate Platner was. Until he wasn’t.

Sure, anyone can make a mistake supporting a candidate who turns out to be flawed. But the Dems seem to have a particular genius for picking weird heroes. Think of Lenin, Stalin, Mao. More prosaically: think how they drooled over Michael Avenatti… as a presidential candidate! Whoopi and the ladies of The View loved him! He’s now in jail. Couldn’t they see that at the time? The View? Jimmy Kimmel? All the late-nighters? I mean, even I could see it, sitting here in Hong Kong.

Then there’s James Talarico in Texas. The lads of the Ruthless  pod take that apart. Here.

“Patriotic Brits are Far-right fascists” | Keir Starmer

Giles Udy is a historian of the Soviet Union. With a focus on “Uncle Joe” Stalin.

Today professor Udy’s focus is on Stalin’s near namesake, British PM Keir Starmer. Who’s also Stalin’s ideological thinksake. Starmer would’ve loved Uncle Joe. As a psst editor of the Marxist Legal Journal, Keir did love Uncle Joe Stalin.

Giles Udy:

As a Soviet historian who has spent years writing about the extreme, repressive control Soviet Communism exercised over its unfortunate citizens, I find it really hard to bring a similar  accusation against the Labour government and Keir Starmer.

But I’m finding it increasingly difficult to avoid that conclusion.

We have no Gulag or death penalty, admittedly, but what Labour and the old Soviet regime do have in common is the arrogant belief that they alone hold the moral high ground and that this entitles them to the total control over all those who do not share their worldview.

And like the Soviets of old their tools of control are the same…

- legislation and co-opted courts and civil service to apply it

- the policing of dissent, by hate crime orders, arrests (@glinner), the long term seizure of electronic appliances (@CF_Farrow) to intimidate even those against whom no charges are finally brought.

- controlling free speech (12,000 arrests annually for social media posts in 2025). George Orwell’s ‘thought crime’ persecution has become a reality under Labour.

- framing dissent (the Unite the Kingdom participants) as racism and far right fascism (Stalin started that in the days when Labour was his captive party, the 1930s, and ‘fascist’ has remained their favoured mantra ever since)

- attacking and weakening the family (because the family is so often a place where small ‘c’ conservative values are transmitted down the generations), including the promotion of trans ideology to confuse children in their understanding of the roles of men and women, mothers and fathers. In their eyes women can have penises and ‘heteronormativity’ must be ‘smashed’.

- education, wrested as Marx decreed, from the middle class (private schools and VAT), and used as a vehicle for the state propagandising of children and youth at their most vulnerable age.

… and much more.

In short, I can reach no other conclusion. Under Labour, Britain is becoming a repressive state which is, incredibly, echoing the very characteristics of repression that any former resident of the Soviet Union or its satellite states would recognise today (and they do and tell us so)

And with every opportunity Keir Starmer has to rein that in, he instead doubles down. Month by month things get worse.

This is 2026. I can’t believe what I am seeing. Or what I’m saying. But, yes, it is going on. And only a majority government of either Tories or Reform (and I do have reservations about both) of a coalition of two can reverse this.

… or we are sunk.

American deaths at hands of illegals | Avery Daye

Their main argument is along the lines of "American citizens commit more crimes than illegals". Yeah. And so what?

1. That's true only because there are — still — more American citizens than illegals.

2. Nevertheless, the *rate* of crimes is much higher amongst illegals than amongst American citizens. Figures on this are clear and unequivocal. But Lefties don't seem to understand the difference between "Total" and "Rate". At least, they always use “total” and never use “rate”. Police Chiefs across America and even in very Blue cities like New York say crimes by illegals are "out of control". The rate at which illegals commit crimes, they say, is far higher than regular residents.

3. These crimes, the deaths listed above, are ADDITIONAL to those that we would have anyway. They are Additional crimes, additional murders, committed by people that are in the country illegally. If the perpetrators of those murder above had not been in the country, all those victims would be alive today. This argument is just silly. ADDED: As Adam Carolla says, it's "retarded".

4. In places that are not "Sanctuary cities" or are Red cities, Red States, there's nothing like the issues we're seeing in solidly Blue states like Minnesota, most of whom self-identity as “Sanctuary”. Cooperating with ICE is in everyone's interest and safety. NOT being a Sanctuary City is measurable better and safer for everyone, including even those being sought for deportation..

5. Obama: let's not forget he was the "Deporter in Chief". He gave his then Border Czar, Tom Homan, the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his deportation work. The very same Tom Homan who is Donald Trump's Border Czar! No one on the Left complained about deportations then, or about ICE. Only now.

By the way, I, deliberately using the term "illegal" because that's what they are called in all the legislation. Lefties don't like it, because it doesn't sound nice. They prefer to call them "undocumented" or "Newcomers". The fact remains that they are Illegal. And that overstaying a visa, or entering the United States without a passport or visa, is indeed a *crime*.

Untouchables (1960s) vs Untouchables (2025)

Untouchable: FBI in the 1960s. Minnesotan Somalis in 2025

In 1959, our family was sent by our government, from tiny Canberra, Australia's "Bush Capital", to Manhattan in New York City... my goodness me! Like, Wow, man!

We found a place on East 24th Street in Manhattan. That is to say, our mother found it; for father, Pa, was off working every day, as an Australian Representative at the United Nations. But that's another story.

For me, a nine year old, the biggest excitement was having TV. Not because we'd not had a TV set in Canberra. But because Canberra, and indeed most of Australia, did not have TV at all. Imagine. No TV! No TV stations! No soap operas!

I recall the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon Debate, on our tiny black & white set. The first live TV presidential debate, ever. Again, another story.

More exciting for me though, were cops and robbers shows. One of the biggest of those back then was the series "The Untouchables". We all loved it.

I'll ask Grok to summarise:

The Untouchables were a real-life squad of U.S. Bureau of Prohibition agents led by Eliot Ness in Chicago from 1930–1932. Handpicked for integrity and incorruptibility, they targeted Al Capone's bootlegging operations during Prohibition through raids, surveillance, and evidence gathering. Their efforts contributed to Capone's 1931 tax evasion conviction (though not directly for alcohol crimes). The nickname "Untouchables" arose after they rejected bribes.

The TV program The Untouchables (1959–1963) was an ABC crime drama series starring Robert Stack as Eliot Ness. Produced by Desilu, it ran for four seasons (118 episodes) and dramatized the squad's battles against organized crime [the Mafia] in 1930s Chicago, featuring gangsters like Frank Nitti. It was based on Ness's 1957 memoir, but included significant fictional elements. It was a popular, violent-for-its-time procedural that won Emmys early on.

Now here's the reason I mention this. Because I remember the debates at the time. The Italian community in the United States, the very substantial Italian community, was worried that the FBI going after the Italian Mafia so strongly and openly would paint all Italians with the same brush. "All Italians are crooks", that sort of thing.

Bu as the debate went on, the Italian community changed. They mellowed. They accepted that getting rid of organised crime -- i.e. the Mafia -- was a good thing for themselves and for the wider American community. So they ended up supporting what the FBI was doing. Net result: suppression of organised crime.

Now, let's pivot to Minneapolis and the findings by the US Department of Justice that there has been widespread, organised fraud in the Minnesota community. The evidence is that the Minnesotan Somali community is most complicit. The numbers are vast: at least $8 Billion defrauded from the taxpayer, perhaps double that. Most of it -- something like 89% -- is by Somalis in Minnesota.

The reaction of the Minnesota community, of its politician and media, of spokespeople for the Somali community has been to deny, deflect and continue to defraud.

It may be that that these Somalis are just stuck in Stage One, as it were: at the same place the Italian communities were in the 1950s and 1960 over the FBI tackling Mafia crime. Maybe they'll move to Stage Two, and acceptance, even assistance, over time, as did the Italian communities.

But I don't think so. Because if it's only the first stage, we'd see some signs, surely, that there's a Stage Two looming. We'd see a softening of the rhetoric. Whereas the rhetoric has morphed into violence and the drumbeat is louder and louder for even more violence.

Policians in Minnesota are all lining up to counter the police, ICE and DOJ, who are trying to rein in the fraud. Tim Walz, the governor, has said Minnesota is "at war" with the Federal Government. The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, has said "ICE must fuck off". The Congressional representative for MN, Ilhan Omar, talks of "racism" (of course), of "white supremacy" (of course), and claims, falsely, that there's been not a single case of a Somali charged and found guilty of fraud (there are hundreds; so Omaer is straight-out lying).

How different.

Italian Community (1960s): Has concerns about the FBI investigating organised crime by the Italian Mafia gangs. But then realises that it's best that they be brought down. They support the FBI.

Untouchables 1960s: The FBI. The FBI had the team of "Untouchables", that we glorified then, and remember now.

Somali/Minnesota community (2025): They deny and deflect any wrongdoing. Their supporters obstruct officers of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement police (ICE), who are simply doing their duties under Federal Law. There is no hint that they are going to take a more moderate stance as did the Italian community.

Untouchables 2025: The Somali community in Minnesota, and all its politicians, State and Federal, are today's Untouchables. While ICE and the Federal government are demonised and attacked.

Is it just the passage of time that makes such different outcomes for a similar situation? Or is it that everyone hates Trump so much that there's no reason to their actions?

I think it's the latter. They are driven by visceral hate of Donald Trump. We know this because both Bill Clinton an even more so, Barack Obama, pursued deportation of illegal immigrants into the United States with all the vigour that Donalt Trump is today. But in their cases there was only approval, no pushback at all.

Indeed, the man in charge of ICE and deportations during Obama's presidency, Tom Homan, was granted a Presidential Medal of Honour [pic here] by then president Obama, for having achieved 900,000 deportations, still the record and still unsurpassed by Trump. Homan works for Trump now. Under Obama he was glorified; under Trump, he's a demon to be killed.

Go figure.

Tom Homan, today's Border Czar, receives
Presidential Medal from president Obama,
for whom he then worked. He works for Trump now

ADDED:
"Somali takeover of the West". Ayaan Hirsi Ali talks to Steven Edginton. Herself born in Somalia, forced into an arranged marriage with a middle-aged relative, was subject to FGM, escaped to the Netherlands, then the U.K. and finally to the US. She's married to historian Niall Ferguson. She explains the importance of Clans in Somali culture.

"What the French Revolution Tells Us about the Minneapolis Mobs" | Rich Lowry

I remember a discussion, long ago with an old mate, about Revolutions. Were they good or bad?

I took the side of Bad.

I argued that overall, over history, revolutions had not turned out well. Not the French Revolution. Nor the Soviet one. And certainly not the Maoist one.

On the other side there's the US revolution against the British colonial overlords. Which I'll concede is in the positive-revolutions column. But not too many.

I later looked up "Revolutions" in Wikipedia and found a long list, with a kind of grading system as to how they'd turned out. Which supported my view: most had not turned out well. That article, though, is no longer there.  Such is the fate of certain views, no matter how fact-backed, in pre-revolutionary times.

Above, Rich Lowry, editor of the National Review, looks at some of the insanity on the streets of the United  States, especially in Minnesota, the hysteria over the legal operations of ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Police. The crowd. Its rage. Its violence. Its immunity to logic. The signs of the French Revolution right there. And many in that mob calling for exactly that. It is incipient.

One worries about the US. I worry about the US. Having been a long time cheer leader of the US. Now worried that there are forces at work that may destroy even this so-strong superpower.

Sigh....

“How not to get your ass kicked by the police “ | Chris Rock

In the wake of a young woman killed by ICE agents in Minnesota, here’s an old post from comedian Chris Rock. It’s wise advice from Chris Rock. I only wish it had been promoted more. Tell your kids that if they're stopped by the police they should obey the orders of the police. Instead of telling your kids and especially telling young Black men that the “police are out to murder you”. That’s not the case, proven by exhaustive statistics analysed by Harvard professor Roland Frier.

If the young woman killed in self defence had followed Chris’s advice she would be alive now. Instead she tried to run over an ICE agent carrying out a legal action. Sad…

PS: I posted this vid in 2021, and also earlier. Where I commented on professor Steven Pinker, Harvard psycholinguist, himself a leftie, who made the case that cutting back on police numbers (today's “Defund the police”) is crazy and only leads to more crime (gee!), harming most of all minority neighbourhoods. This advice of Pinker's -- to maintain and respect officers of law and order -- has been comprehensively ignored by his party. As has, sadly, Chris Rock's video advice.

English girls raped. Tortured. Trafficked. Ignored, for political gain

Click above for the video
This is a truly shocking video. Winston Marshall talks to human rights activist, brave man Raja Miah.

Raja, a Muslim, born in the UK, into a working class family, now fighting for the rights of young English girls who have been systematically raped, trafficked, brutalised and at times killed. By one community: British Pakistani men.

He fights against this, at risk to his life, and livelihood, because, he says, he has a Moral Compass. You don't need religion to tell you something is wrong. You just know that raping young girls and then hiding it, is wrong. It's plain wrong. Get it?!

And yet, and yet... the English police, then the English politicians -- Labour Party pollies -- at local and country level, conspired -- and continue to conspire -- to hide these horrific crimes. Rapes and mutilation and traffickng of English girls, as young as 9 or 10.

Done to 100 of 1,000s of English girls, by anything up to 1 Million British-resident Pakistani men. And no, as Raja repeats, it's not racist to point out they're Pakistani. Because that's the community it's happening in at a rate 10 times the national average.  They do it, these men, for racist and religious reasons themselves.  These men, protected by their families, their communities, the police, the media -- including the BBC -- and the politicians. For "community cohesion". For the sake of the block vote of Muslims for the Labour party. As Raja shows and proves in the video.

A shocking, shocking story.

"The Rise of the Completely Wrong ‘Expert’” | Wilfed Reilly

We need to talk about today’s critical mass of unimpressive “experts.”

Just a week or so back, at the end of July, Columbia and UCLA law professor KimberlĂ© Crenshaw — the founder of “intersectional” theory — took to Twitter/X to argue a point. As she passionately put it: “Black women make up less than 10% of the population, yet when it comes to killings by police, we make up a 3rd of them, with the majority unarmed. And that’s exactly what happened with Sonya Massey. #SayHerName.” This post, so far, has received 1,800 likes and has been shared 1,200 times.

The only problem here is that Crenshaw is wildly, almost bizarrely wrong.

Read on...

This reminds me of a candidate for a Federal Judgeship, saying that her quoted comment that “there is a killing by police of an unarmed Black man, every day in the United States”, which is wildly inaccurate -- there are in fact about one per month. But she simply responded that she was representing a client, and this was a “rhetorical statement”. IOW, truth be blowed.

The idea that police are out to kill Black people, from the moment they get up in the morning has been debunked many times. Including by a Black Harvard professor, Roland Fryer. But is simply ignored. It’s the “my-side” bias. What doesn’t agree with my side, I discount.

The Fall of Minneapolis

Click above for the video
This is the one that Glenn Loury and John McWhorter discussed the other day. Two Black professors, men mostly of the Left, now convinced that the George Floyd trial was a travesty. That deeply harmed America. But which they think no one is going to change their minds about, no matter the facts.

I’ve watched the doco and I wonder: is there anyone — the Minnesota Governor, the Minneapolis Mayor, the Minneapolis Police Commissioner, AG Keith Ellison, Nancy Pelosi, President Biden? — involved in pushing what turns out to be a falsehood, an enormously damaging falsehood, who thinks at night “oh boy, what I did, what I let happen, what I enabled, what I encouraged, was really, really bad for America”?

It appears not a one. Indeed most are proud of what they did. Which has so profoundly damaged America,  people of colour the most.

What NOT to do if you’re trying to dispel a perception of a “police state”

I’ve spent some time trying to dispel the idea of Hong Kong now under the boot of a tyrannical Communist police state. Telling folks across the waters from us that they media is hyping the extent to which China is in control of Hong Kong, post the 2019 demos and the 2020 National Security Law.

Many have the impression, from the MSM, that it’s now the equivalent of tanks in the streets, the army marching daily, police at every corner. We’re not like that. We’re still a very free place. Click the “Freedoms HK” label below to see some of that.

But stuff like the above doesn’t help. Police on the subways. Why? people are asking. As they say -- and very much unlike the subway in, say, New York -- Hong Kong’s public transport and especially our MTR (subway) is super safe. John Lee listen up: we don’t need them! This doesn’t help your aim of “tell the good stories of Hong Kong”!

Gaza, Islam, and the West | Quillette

Jew-haters in London. AND they can't spell!
Click photo above for the Quillette article.
Also, their swastika is the Buddhist version. They mean the Nazi version:
No surprise at the mistakes, as we know from on street polling (Vox pop) that the pro-Hamas demonstrators on our streets are all, pretty much literally all, extremely ignorant of the most basic facts. Many believe that "From the River to the Sea…" refers to the Tigris River and the Black Sea. Huh? And many have no idea, like zero, of the Palestinian attitudes to homosexuality. Which is basically to jail them, or, better yet, to kill them. Because they "dishonour" the family.
Ami Horowitz does the survey on the West Bank which he then shows to San Francisco Hamas luvvies. At which they express astonishment.
At the pro-Hamas rallies are our the west, there’s a lot worse than the above. “Hitler was right” and “Kill all the Jews” you can hear from vids of every single one. Plus they beat up any Jew they see, and rip up any Israeli or American flag. This is not a development we should treat casually. Yet in the U.K., Suella Braverman, Home Secretary in charge of the Police, gets sacked by Rishi Sunak for pointing out the truth of the horrid anti-Semitic marches. I was a big supporter of Rishi. But he’s turned out piss weak.

Human Rights Don’t Require The West To Commit Suicide

There’s a video by Ami Horowitz, in which he goes to an Ivy League college and reads some quotes to the students. To some he says the quotes are from Donald Trump. And he asks the students what they think. They all say “super racist”, “horrible”, “bigoted” and similar.

And then he takes the exact same quotes to other students and tells them the quotes are from Joe Biden, and what do they think? They all think they’re just fine. It turns out all the quotes are from Barack Obama. Yet the students have very different reactions, depending on who they think said them!

So the transcript below, a portion from a recent podcast, I’m going to keep anonymous. Because I’d like the reader to engage with the actual content, instead of being influenced by who said it. No matter how much we may believe we’re not influenced by that -- we can have our own opinions, dammit! -- we’re all influenced to some extent by who said them.

Not the good news: “Police arrest 10 linked to protester fund”

This makes me uncomfortable. How wide will the net go? Feeling sensitive after rewatching The Pianist last night. A magnificent film. Of enveloping ineluctable horror. How far does this National Security Law sweep go? I thought it wasn’t meant to be retrospective.

Though to do an equivalence thing for a second: thousands are in jail in the US for protesting on January 6, 2021, even though most — by all available video evidence (of which there’s 44 thousand hours) — were not violent, were wandering the halls, at the invitation of the Capitol Police. Which is the greatest injustice?

What a sleaze bag | Eunice Yung, the “legislator quizzed over fugitive father-in-law”

Snitching on relatives. A specialty of dictatorships. And of "pro-Beijing lawmaker" Eunice Yung. Either she's doing this to save her own skin; or she's doing it to please Beijing. Either way it’s a sleaze-baggy thing to do.

I don’t give much more time to her marriage to Derek Yuen, the son of “fugitive” Elmer Yuan -- note the qualification “at the moment” below:

Eunice:  “The incident [snitching on her father-in-law] has not affected my relationship with Derek Yuen at the moment. I believe he will cooperate with the investigation,” she said. Before adding the snark: “I hope the police will arrest the eight people as soon as possible.”

How does anyone expect this when the eight are all over the world in countries that are absolutely NOT going to cooperate with Hong Kong police?

Her father-in-law, the one she's snitching on — Elmer Yuan Gong-yi — is in the United States. Does anyone seriously believe — even this brain-dead lot — that he's going to be captured, let alone extradited? What is their game here? Except bull-headed brutish stupidity?

Shame on all involved in the horrid events above. Especially Eunice Yung. Lapdog and lickspittle. I’m sorry, but sometimes only ad hominem will do…

The Hong Kong Fugitive Eight:
According to local media, Law, Mung Siu-tat and Lau are in Britain; Yuen Gong-yi, Anna Kwok and Dennis Kwok are in the U.S., and Yam and Hui are in Australia. [Link]

The Plod, out in force at a Sai Kung 7-11

Not the CNN news: defunding the police results in more crime. Who would’ve guessed?

Soft-on-crime policies have cost lives and caused billions of dollars of economic devastation. Here

P

rogressive defunding of the police has indisputably led not just to lost lives but also to economic devastation in the cities that attempted it.Murders increased by 39 percent nationwide, from 16,425 in 2019 to 22,900 in 2021, and remain far above pre–“defund the police” movement levels. But the cost of crime isn’t just felt in lives lost, although that is its most tragic impact. Cities that defunded the police have also been economically devastated. LINK

PF: The weird and flabbergasting thing is that that Dems are now accusing the Republicans of wanting to “defund the police” because Reps are hammering the FBI, who worked to bring down a Republican President (per Durham). Thing to note here is that the Reps are not talking of defunding. But of splitting the internal intelligence and the police functions and de-politicising the leadership (which now quite openly skews heavily Democratic). Not quite the same thing as the Dem mayors slashing police budgets and then being surprised by soaring murders and violent crime.

Let Women Speak | Women speak about their experience at the Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Poise Parker) event in Auckland

It was some pretty shocking stuff. However, the ABC in Australia, the NZ media, the BBC, have all reported “mostly peaceful” gatherings, and nothing about the violence against Kellie-Jay Kean, founder of Let Women Speak, who was just organising an event for any woman to speak about... well... whatever. Whatever they wanted to speak about. But they got no chance, because they were violent assaulted and drowned out. And KJK had to flee New Zealand on the advice of the police. They got shut down by -- mostly -- men. Trans Activist Men. And some trans women. But mostly men-men.

The mainstream media have their narrative about his happening. That it was “peaceful” and “full of love”. And that KJK is “full of hate”. None of that is true. You may have your own views about what happened in Auckland last Saturday, but I’d say: “you can’t have a view”: at least until you’ve heard from the women who were actually at the event.

That’s in  three-part recording by Sean Plunket, in New Zealand. Where many women who were there say what happened and what they felt about it. Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. (each is about an hour)

There’s some real heartfelt stories here. From women who were there. And saw that the police deliberately stood back and did nothing. And that Kellie-Jay was in real danger. You can see that from various videos, like here.

Not the Good News : “Police rain on parade”

80 demonstrators, 50 police.

People demonstrate more freely on the mainland now! For heaven’s sake, get a grip government!

Police priorities

Arresting a 90-yo granny who sold chestnuts on Hong Kong streets for 60 winters. Well done, plod!
