"How Renewables Harm Our Farms & Cost the Earth" | Renewables in Australia

Click above for the video
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

This above should be must viewing for all Australians. Of whatever party, or whatever view on the Net Zero agenda.

Farmers from all over Australia have their say on the costs of the current reckless speed of rolling out wind "farms" and solar panels all over the country. The left, the Greenies just say 'Well, Australia has abundant sun and land". Maybe so, but where wind and solar thingies are going up and where the transmission lines are marching across the landscape, are harming the very environment we say we care about.

It's not just farmers who are white hot with rage about what's happening to their land. So too are long-time Greenies. Who we see in this doco above, shocked at the land destruction, shocked at how it's been carried out heedless of damage to flora and fauna, right across our wide and sunburnt land.

And for what? For nothing that will have any measurable impact on global warming, the whole basis of this manic effort.

Shame on the greenies who are pushing this. Shame on my friends and rellies who support the greenies. Shame on their casually held but mistaken beliefs that they are helping to save the world. Shame on Occasional Readers who say they're interested to know about the pros and cons of Nuclear energy only to decline to read the post I do especially for them. Shame on Aussie PM Tony Albanese and Energy Czar Chris Bowen for pushing ahead with this insane project that will impact our children and grand children and great grandchildren and, and, and... and lumber them with perpetual higher costs and less reliability of energy. And a de-industrialising economy.

Since Australia started on this madness, we have gone from having the lowest cost, highest reliablity electricity in the world, to the highest cost with the least reliability. For no benefit to the world's carbon emissions.

We Aussies have a chance to change this: Vote Liberal in the next election. (May 25, may-be).

  • Cost of Renewables vs cost of nuclear. Gerard Holland. Shows that cost of renewables-only policy is at least 50% greater than a path including nuclear. Because of renewables requirement for capacity triplication, additional storage, duplicated transmission lines and short life spans of panels and turbines.
(Wow! what a cranky post to put up on Xmas Eve. So.... Merry Christmas to all Occasional Readers!).
