Reposting this post because places like New York and Chicago are now angry-mad at Biden for not controlling illegal immigration at the southern border, while Biden says they can’t and blame the Republicans.
Which is complete nonsense as the figures above show.
Trump had in place policies that discouraged illegal immigration; Biden ditchen them all on day one, and the result is clear. From lows of around 200,000 per year, the Biden numbers jumped to 2,000,000 per year, a TENFOLD increase. Immigrants now say they come because “we’ve been told the border is open”.
The fix is easy but they don’t do it. Why? A bit of a mystery to me, save that it might be the pressure from the AOC-far Left of the party. Who just like open borders. Because. And don’t know history. Rome was toppled by illigal immigration.
ADDED: the figures are now even worse: 300,000 illegal immigrants in December 2023 alone and over 3 million in 2023. FIFTEEN times the average of the Trump years.
The hypocrisy of the Blue cities is breathtaking: all was fine as long as the illegals were kept safely down south, in tiny towns in Texas and Arizona. But as soon as they are faced with incoming, they freak. These huge cities of Chicago and New York.
Yet don’t call for Biden to do something to stem the flood. Instead they want more Federal money to allow the illegals to work. Which will only increase the pull.
