“From Red Wave to Red Wedding” — summary of the mid-terms

GoT dragon. Actually in mid-terms neither side roared
“From Red Wave to Red Wedding ”. So said conservative commentator Ben Shapiro on Twitter, comparing expected vs actual the results of mid- terms for Republicans to the disastrous wedding in Game of Thrones. There’s plenty of progressive analysis on all the usual mainstream media, so no need for me to repeat them. On the Right, the non-crazy conservatives side there’s Daily Wire analysis of the results and for a contrarian conservative take there’s Scott Adams.

Republicans doing worse than predicted: them being crazy played a part: continuing to push the “2020 stolen election” narrative played a part. January 6 and the hearings that publicised the supposed “insurgency” on the day, played a part. The “democracy is on the ballot” push by Dems played a part. Demographics played a part. Trump and his inanities played a part; prolly a large part. Can he be induced not to run 2024? Prolly not. What he’s actually done is hammer DeSantis; who had the biggest wins for the GOP anywhere! Talk about being crazy! Sigh…

ADDED: Some good analysis on Megyn Kelly Show.
