Ageism?

I’m in the doctors office because I need to get a certificate to prove I can move around normally enough to operate a boat. Once a year I have to do this now that I’m over 70. Other countries  don’t need a licence at all to drive a yacht. Or if they do, it’s several years between each check up. 

I had to do an eye test too. 

Is that ageism? Maybe not. After all, it is indeed true that our faculties drop off after 70.
