Only very slightly ironic or jokey. And, as regards us here in Hong Kong, there simply is no Science. Mask mandates for outdoors, when there has not been a single case, since the beginning of the pandemic, that’s caught by walking outside in a fresh easterly breeze. And vaccine passports required everywhere -- maybe the only place in the world, China aside, that they are -- when we
know (the science!) that they vaccines don’t stop transmission. Allowed to unmask in bars, but not in supermarkets. That sort of stuff. Many have noticed: it all makes no sense.
Yet we are trapped in it. A long, bad dream. In February 2020 we were thinking it’d be over by May of that year! From our experience with the first SARS outbreak in 2002. Now it seems like the forever pandemic. They’re now saying, our government, that even if they relax mask mandates for Covid, they should still be worn because of the flu!
