It was way back when, in the early oughts perhaps, that Hong Kong officials first asked for an “interpretation” from China’s National Peoples Congress. And led to lots of people claiming that Beijing had “interfered” in HK, and all the anger of the 2019 riots.
Why are they doing it again? Did they have to? What’s been done with foreign judges has been done for ever. Oh well…
