We know about the homeless problems in LA, in San Francisco, in Portland, in Chicago. We know about the gun crimes, about racial divisions in the United States.
In China, by contrast, we don’t. Because it’s censored.
So that’s why I occasionally post vids like the above. I’ve seen the poverty with mine own eyes. As we drove down a new highway to Yunnan in South China, all was fine. Until we slipped off the main road and went into the local villages. Just a mile off the road and you see poverty like anywhere in Africa.
Serpenza, above, is a guy who’s lived in China for a long time, is married to a Chinese woman, speaks and reads Chinese. But is now in the United States, because he was threatened by the Chinese secret police.
