Michael Shellenberger on nuclear energy and climate change

Cover of An Ecomodernist Manifesto. Hong Kong from The Peak
Interesting talk, Scott Adams questions ecomodernist, award-winning environmental author and California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Michael Shellenberger.

Otherwise on YouTube (52 minutes):
Snippet: Shellenberger notes that France gets 75% of its electricity from nuclear and as a result has one-tenth the per capita carbon emissions of neighbour Germany which is closing down its nuclear plants.  (Fact check: Wikipedia says it's half.  But then the fine print says that that's for "fossil fuels and cement production" only. Other sites do the same, per capita carbon emissions compared for fossil fuels only. Haven't yet found the figure based on the full electricity mix, as Shellenberger is referring to)
