ADDED: One of Wilson’s songs is “Ain’t No Shame Being Country” which remedies me of a comment I saw recently which said we don’t so much have huge “divisiveness” (everywhere, everywhere I see things have “never been so divisive”) but we have “difference”. Natural differences. As in, people who don’t live in New Yawk, or LA, or Boston are not going to have the same cares and concerns. That’s just a reality. It’s simply diversity. And isn’t diversity what the Left is all about? Ain’t no shame in being Country.
It’s true that the Democrats have moved a fair bit left while the Republican have shifted right only a bit. [See here]. But then the majority of Americans amd very many Democrats don’t agree with the leftward shift, as this election shows.
