This relates to what Donald Trump, as candidate in 2015 was saying. That the FBI were out to get him. That they were out to eavesdrop on him.
Which at the time, and I remember it clearly, I thought was, like, "no way". That's crazy.
Since then I've read both the Mueller Report, which basically said they could find no evidence of Trump colluding with Russia. And the Durham report on the FBI. And now this.
It is unarguably, unquestionably, undebunkably, true that there's a deep state, and that the FBI are a deep part of it. That they went after Trump because they didn't like him and also because they feared he could go after them. Remember Chuck Schumer saying, out loud, that if Trump went after the intelligence services, including the FBI, they had "Six ways to Sunday" to get back at him. That was in 2016, just after Trump had been elected. This is one of the times that we can say that both Trump and the then Leader of the Senate, agreed on something.
Of course the Democrats will Deny, Delay, Deflect and obfuscate on this one. Watch it happen in real time. On the likes of CNN, if they even bother to cover it at all. Which, tbf, they're unlikely to do.
