"What SpaceX did just humiliated Blue Origin" | Alpha Tech

If it were not for Elon Musk, SpaceX would not exist. He put his entire fortune of $200 million on the line just after he sold his share of the company he'd driven to success: PayPal, in 2002. Half to SpaceX, then another $80 million into a nascent Tesla and the remaining $20 million into Solar City.

SpaceX is very much his baby. The story of how and why and where it all happened is told well in Walter Isaacson's Elon Musk, a book I strongly recommend. Page-turningly good.

Alpha Tech is a paeon of praise for SpaceX, as we all should be.

But when AOC, the Leftie firebrand of the Dem Party, rails at Musk at one of her "Kill the Oligarchs" tour stops, when she mentions SpaceX, her trained seals go ga-ga with boo-boos. Shame on them. The best aerospace company in the world, the most successful, private, American, doing world beating things -- not to mention that SpaceX's Starlink connects the world to internet -- and her loyal dummkopfs do the big thumbs down. Shame on them and shame on AOC for hyping the crazy.

In Sum, SpaceX is:
... the most successful commercial rocket company due to its launch frequency, cost-efficiency, and reusability innovations. Its importance is undeniable in commercial spaceflight and NASA partnerships.... its unmatched launch cadence, reusability breakthroughs, and game-changing impact on commercial spaceflight (Falcon 9, Starlink, Crew Dragon) make it a juggernaut.
