'Puppets, pawns': Rick Scott says Hong Kong leaders stooge for China - Florida Politics

A version of the "Streisand effect": Barbra had wanted photos of her Malibu house removed, sued the media, and found them known, as a result, to everyone. Duh! Obvious, right? Except that people do it all the time.
And here our dear Carrie Lam falls for it, in a version: this one an attempt to set the record straight with someone, only to have the opponent's view amplified. Streisanded …
She writes a letter to US Senator Rick Scott, trying to set him straight and the only message that's amplified is Scott's. Which is a pity because his is full of vitriol, ignorance and bigotry.
If she was going to send anything to him, which we're not sure she should have, then it should have been a sharp, aggressive Open Letter to all the media.
She should have forcefully put our Seven Freedoms. These are not her fantasy or feverish imaginings. They are real and true.
