Yes, the US could “vindicate its claim of innocence” over the Nordstrom gas pipeline blowings up, if it supported an independent investigation into them.
By the same token — of course, of course, of course — China could “vindicate its claim of innocence” over the lab leak accusations re Covid, if it allowed an independent investigation into them. Instead it has bullied Australia for calling for one. And the global damage of Covid has been more than the destruction of the pipelines.
