Malcolm Turnbull, failed politician:
"Nuclear energy for Australia is dangerously stupid". "Nuclear Gamble", by 4-Corners, Australia, ABC.
Elon Musk, successful businessman, with major investments in renewable energy:
"Nuclear energy is now so safe that if you tried to create a meltdown, you couldn't. There is no need to do anything with the waste, other than store it on site. It's perfectly safe.". And a lot more.
Which one should we believe? The Four Corners folks at the ABC of Australia, want us to belive the scare stories about nuclear. That it's unsafe, that it will take too long to build and that it's too expensive.
All nonsense.
But they deny that their objections are ideological. They claim they're science based.
For the more authoritative word on this, between the two above, I'm going with Elon.
Another look at what Australia's doing with its energy. Cutting gas and coal only to have to import gas. Putting in so much of renewables that the cost of energy will go up, because of the cost of transmission, lines and poles. And of storage. Australia already has amongst the most expensive electricity in the world. And it's only going to get worse. With the policies of Chris Bowen and Anthony Albanese.
This happened to California. But Australia is going ahead anyway. With the same mix of failed policies.
