His latest note to supporters:
Dear Peter,
First, I want to say a massive thank you.
Last month, I asked for your help to fund major independent national polling on nuclear energy. Thanks to your generosity, we now have the results - and they send a clear message to politicians across Australia.
The Australian public is ready to have a serious conversation about nuclear energy.
While Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claims that Australians don't support it, our new YouGov polling tells a very different story - including among his own voters:
- 63% of Australians believe Australia should consider nuclear power - including 48% of Labor voters.
- 60% believe nuclear will be part of Australia’s future energy mix, up 13 percentage points on last year's polling.
- 56% support removing restrictions so nuclear energy can be considered
- 57% lack confidence that current electricity options can meet Australia's growing demand
- 59% support developing nuclear power to strengthen Australia's energy sovereignty.
