This is wrong on so many levels.
Guardian opinionista Iman Amrani saying…
That the British Home Secretary, Samir Javid, should make a decision about Shamima Begum — the "ISIS bride" who wants to return "home" after five years with slave trading barbarian beheaders — on the basis of her Muslim-hood not on the facts of the case.
That the British Home Secretary, Samir Javid, should make a decision about Shamima Begum — the "ISIS bride" who wants to return "home" after five years with slave trading barbarian beheaders — on the basis of her Muslim-hood not on the facts of the case.
That there's "no point" to Muslim politicians unless they help Muslims.
(Does the formula hold for other faiths? For Atheists?)
That that's what a Home Secretary should do.
That that's the job of a Muslim politician: to look out for the interests of fellow Muslims.
That Javid is wrong for not dealing with the Muslim Council of Britain; whereas I say it's about time someone had the guts to say "no" to these Muslim Brotherhood wannabes.
That Javid is to blame for the recent death of Begum's baby; whereas I say the fault is Begum's and Begum's alone.
And opinionista Amrani presumably believing…
That the Guardian is right to print such arrant, dangerous, sectarian, supremacist farrago.
That this is wonderful identity politics. Where the oppressor is the male of pallor (e.g., me) and the oppressed is the person of colour (e.g., Muslims); actually savage and divisive politics.
I don't know what Guardian readers think about this opinionista's rant, as I haven't been able to access the comments. Sometimes they tear apart the main post.
If Javid or a future British government Minister is ever tempted to bow to sectarian Islamist pressures, like those in the Guardian, it will be very bad day indeed for Britain.
In the meantime I say good on Javid for having taken a tough decision for the whole of the British electorate, not for one element of it. Though, TBF, I'd rather he'd let Begum back to the UK, and then charge her with treason. There's a sound case for that, based on the definition of "treason" and what Begum has done.
And good on Javid for not dealing with the Muslim Council of Britain. Sound choice. They're islamists, pure and simple.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Please spare us please such inanities, Guardian.
