The gall of putting out a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop being “Russian disinformation”, signed by 51 former intelligence officials, when they knew that that story was false — that it was not Russian disinformation — is take-your-breath-away shocking. Yet you won’t see this in CNN or New York Times. I have friends, in China, who watch only CNN, read only the Financial Times and who, to this day, have no idea of this! Because it hasn’t been covered. Yet it influenced the 2020 election -- towards Biden. The earlier “Russia hoax” of the 2016 election, disproven by the Mueller Report, has never been acknowledged by the media that did most to spread it. Amazing!
These guys above — Aaron Maté and Kurt Metzger — at the Jimmy Dore podcast are not Republicans, let alone Trump supporters. They’re Bernie bros. But they are a couple of the very few on the Left who are upset by the clear, proven, blatant interference by the Intelligence apparatus, especially the CIA, in two elections, 2016 and 2020.
Earlier there’s this from a former CIA insider, John Kiriakou, talking to Chris Hedges. Kirikou reckons the CIA should and could be disbanded. So did JFK…. As Chuck Schumer said of Trump going after the “deep state”: “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” True, dat; as we see what happened to him. Which ought to be more scary than perceptive.
