“Horrific Scenes from a crowded front line”

This again is the failure of Zero Covid policy. Because of strict exclusions of Alpha and Delta, the whole community is naive to the virus and hence hit harder by Omicron. Also: the government failed to vaccinate the elderly. That’s totally down to the government. Those in hospital are, almost all, the elderly and the immune-compromised. And still, to now, the government fails to concentrate on the elderly and vulnerable, instead wasting resources and manpower on nonsense like Mass Testing and quarantines. I’m wondering what we’re going to do with the results of the mass testing, when the results will be out of date the day they’re done.

Government! Look to other countries’ experience, for heaven’s sake!

And let’s keep remembering. Sad as the above is, all those people in the hospital waiting rooms, it’s nothing compared to the unfolding tragedy in Ukraine. Of losing your home, your friends, your family. Of having to leave everything, your home, your life, behind and flee; if you can. Of nuclear power stations bombed. Of apartments hit by missiles. Things are bad here. But not that bad.
