The subservience to Beijing is complete. Our chief executive Carrie Lam expresses “deepest gratitude” to Beijing apparatchiks foe coming here and telling us what to do. Way to go Carrie.

Meantime everyone, all officials, are staunchly ignoring ALL the experience in the rest of world, that case numbers crash, after hitting a peak. As they’re now doing here in Hong Kong. Officials claim that’s because all our “hard efforts”. But the pattern would have happened regardless.  All the other waves are the same,  no matter the vaccination levels, or the NPI strictness.  Regardless Lam’s “expense or effort” expended. That’s fantasy.
