Zero Covid delays doesn’t cancel Omicron 

It’s possible there may be some stout folks out there who don’t feel schadenfreude at this news. Some. No doubt. Who would be upset if people felt schadenfreude. No, you naughty person! Stop giggling!

There would be more sympathy if China hadn’t spent the last two years telling everyone what a terrific job they've done. Of telling everyone else what to do. Or if they’d not themselves unleashed Covid on the world; or not muzzled the early warnings. That might have spared millions of lives.

And I’m going to guess they’ll blame the mainland outbreaks on Hong Kong. We already know Chinese social media blames “foreigners” for recent outbreaks.
