I worried in case anything went wrong. Something went wrong with the SpaceX launch of the experimental Starship the other day, and the folks on CNN could hardly contain their glee, their mockery, their contempt. Such is their hate for Trump that they hate him more than they wish for the success of US spaceflight.
I worried that if the reentry went badly for the rescue, that CNN and the rest, could not have contained their jubilation. Oh.. they would have shed crocodile tears, for sure. But would quickly have pivoted to making fun of Elon, of blaming him for their deaths, had that been the outcome.
So, yes, I'm relieved. And the above shows Elon Musk in contemplative mood, discussing the operation to save the stranded astronauts, with Sean Hannity.
I know Elon was ready for a "immune reaction" from DOGE -- he said so, repeatedly. But he admits above that he was not expecting the depth of the hate and reactions against him. He, who is just trying to cut waste, fraud and abuse from the Federal Budget, to cut the unsustainable deficit, currently running at $2 Trillion a year leading to overall debt with interest payments more than the whole of the Defence Budget.
For that, the ignoramuses, the greedy, those whose dirty cash floods are being cut off, and all their fellow travellers, are trying to stop him, by domestic terrorism, by threats, by lawfare, by warfare... Shame on them all.
Stand by Musk. Stand by Tesla! Stand by SpaceX. Stand by the USA!
