Democrats a generation ago, in the “aughts”, urge Congress to cut "waste, fraud and abuse", including in Medicare. Which is exactly what Trump has asked Elon Musk to do. But for which they’re being excoriated. Bombed, burned and shot at.
All those people are still in Congress today, a generation later: Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi. None of whom, by the way, has ever had a regular job, or met a payroll. IMO you don’t know how the world really works until you’ve had to meet a regular payroll.
These grizzly old Dems sounded then just like Trump and Musk sound today. They even use exactly the same words: “waste, fraud and abuse.” But are now going full-on hysterical against exactly the same as they used to support and lobby for. While they say nothing, nothing, against the far-left terrorists violently attacking anything Tesla, because Musk is the point of the spear attacking that very same “waste, fraud and abuse”.
Hypocrisy mega.
A short version of senior Dems:
2008: “We must cut back waste, fraud and abuse in government spending”.2025: “Cutting waste, fraud and abuse is unfair, selfish, anti-democratic, illegal and un-constitutional”.

Fetterman is strong against the ludicrous assertions by the MSNBC presenter, Stephanie Ruhle, that Elon Musk is manipulating DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency) to “skim money off for himself”. Nah. That’s delusional nonsense. John calls it out, calls it BS. Good on him. A Dem with integrity. A rare beast! A Unicorn!
The video is produced by DeVory Darkins, who I’ve followed for a long time. He’s a Trump supporter, but also a Trump critic. I don’t know much about him, save that he’s ex-Military. Main thing is he’s got a sane head in his shoulders and does a good job of common sense takes.
