Michael Shellenberger is himself a progressive. He’d probably say that he’s now a lapsed progressive. A one time Time Magazine “Hero of the Environment”. He’s written a book about homelessness in San Francisco, called San Fransicko which I’ve got and read.

A big part of the problem seems to be a classic case of “The Road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
